Court Cards
The court system does sometimes order people to attend AA meetings, and gives them a "court card" to be signed by the AA meeting’s secretary. That is the court’s decision, not AA’s. AA is not part of the court system. As a result, not all meetings will sign court cards. It is wise to check with the meeting secretary in advance to see if he or she will sign it. Even when secretaries do sign court cards they will not sign their last name. We are an anonymous organization. The courts system knows and accepts this.
